Free download single from Philip Murray Warson – ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’

Taken from his self-titled EP (still out on Bandcamp), ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ is the latest single released by Philip Murray Warson. Something of a folk standard, the track was originally written by Francis McPeake from ‘The Braes of Balquhither’ by Robert Tannahill. However, this new incarnation does a great job of showcasing Warson’s lovely acoustic lilt.

The track can be downloaded for free above, but you can also find the rest of the three song EP at http://philipmurraywarson.bandcamp.com/ if you’re won over by the gentle power of his sound.

Industry vets Strangers Know More stream fun new single

For fans of old school dirty guitar riffs, Strangers Know More will be manna from heaven. Created by three industry veterans who have found cult success since the 1970s in various bands, SKM are something of a throwback to the hey day of punk, but with added blues rock flavours.

Their new track ‘Shoot The Witness’ is now streaming online, and is a great introduction to the band. It also marks the first in a number of releases currently in the pipeline. It’s set to be a busy year for SKM – with new material on the way and gigs set for the UK and beyond, now is the perfect time to discover them.

Naomi – a pop artist with a bright future. ‘Take Back the Power’ EP, April 22nd

When looking for new pop artists in the UK who are destined for a bright future, the list is quite a short one. One name that should be on it though is the talented young songwriter Naomi. At just 19 years of age, Naomi has turned more music industry heads than most pretenders do in a lifetime, and it’s all thanks to her assured pop sound.

The latest example is ‘Take Back the Power’, a new video released ahead of an EP by the same name on April 22nd. Like all Naomi’s upbeat tracks, this is well produced, catchy and impactful. In fact, this may well be the one track that’s most likely to make  a impact in the industry yet, so if you’re looking for a new artist to follow as she climbs the ladder, follow her at http://www.naomimusic.co.uk/
