Occasionally songs come along which are so well produced and executed that you immediately feel at home with them. The new single from George Montague, ‘Lost’, falls into that category. From that very first acoustic strum of the guitar, this song screams quality – a trait that extends to the full album from which it is taken.
‘Curiouser and Curiouser George’ is the full LP, released later this summer, which may well find George Montague the spotlight he deserves. His YouTube views are already in the millions and radio support has been strong from both a local and national standpoint. However, teetering on the edge is not enough in this game. With any luck, ‘Curiouser and Curiouser George’ might just be the thing to push him over. If you like what you’re hearing, help give that push by pre-ordering on iTunes and Amazon.
A fantastic British rock trio with many musical years of experience, The Kite Collectors are a band of experienced musicians with a host of creative ideas to share with the world. It seems their recent album ‘Clockface’ has been gaining suitably good reviews online thanks to its upbeat rock style, and the band have now decided to share the love even further by making album track ‘Wonder’ available online.
It’s a well titled song, opening with a lovely bluesy feel before spiralling into more straight rock territory. In doing so, it marks The Kite Collectors as a band well worth your time, a view obviously shared by independent label Paisley Records.
The full album has been available since April, and can still be found on the label’s website. And if you’re on the hunt for a well produced, well conceived collection of new rock songs, this could be a good fit for you.
Pulling together a spacious, synth led pop vibe with a four on the floor dance beat, the new single/remix from NYC based prospect Voodoo Dancer is out now on iTunes. The song is an update of ‘Forever Girl’, a previous single which has been given a club makeover for round two and to strong effect.
Subtitled the ‘Raw Beautiful Club Mix’, remix duties were handled by Eric Kupper and give a previously laid back single a new pace and edge.
A stunning crossover between the urban trip hop and straight pop genres, Astronauts of Antiquity have unveiled new single ‘Paradise’ feat. US rapper and spoken word artist Deploi.
Written to raise awareness for the March Against Monsanto movement, the track blends powerful lyrics with an infectious beat to get its message across. And with new EP ‘Beyond the Maze’ coming soon, now is the perfect time to get on the Astronauts of Antiquity hype train.
